TMC is now shipping SAS cables, marking a major milestone in the evolution of high-end storage products. The SAS architecture offers a new level of price/performance flexibility for the system builder by supporting both SAS and Serial ATA (SATA) disk drives and components at data rates of up to 3Gbps.

SERIAL ATA (SATA)
TMC is also shipping Serial ATA (SATA) cables, the eventual replacement for parallel ATA technology. The serial bus interface overcomes electrical constraints that limit the speed of parallel ATA architecture. SATA will have the capability of 150 Mbytes/sec anywhere up to 600 Mbytes/sec.
